Scoresheet available here.

Bear in mind that Ricki's writing is absolutely abysmal!  So if some of the stats aren't quite correct you know why!

Also well done to Greg - a fine 30 off of only 12 balls!

Well, a mixed bag in terms of performance.

We batted well, knocking up a few less than last time we played the MadMen, but still an appropriate total.

The most important note with regards to our batting is that we did one thing differently from normal: we didn't get out nearly as much.  Only five wickets fell in our batting, and you could see it sucking the willpower out of them (of the five, Chan can lay claim to 60%).  We hit only five backnets against them, as opposed to the 15 we hit against them last time - but amassed the huge score through not getting out.  There's a lesson there for us in terms of what we should be aiming to do.

Shoutout to Greg for his wicketless 30 off 12.

------------------

The flipside of our performance was the bowling, where we conceded a huge 133.

We didn't play with much energy in the field at all - even though we took their first (and rather poor) first partnership for 14.

We ended up taking 9 wickets, which could have been more if we'd capitalised better.

Granted, there's always going to be more holes in your field when you've got only 7 players, but that's a reason to play with more energy - not less!

Shoutout to Simon for being the only bowler not to bowl an extra.

------------------

Personally speaking, I was happy with how I played up until the last over.  Before that, I had scored 14 with the bat, and conceded 6 off my two overs, and let only two shots make it to the backnet.  I bowled the last over, the batsmen were swinging and I came off second best with 19 off the over.  Bleh.

At any rate, the most important statistic improved - my captaincy ratio jumped from 0% to 25%.  A win's a win.
