Man - I would be so much happier if I could remember how to bowl... grrr.

Good effort last night lads. Good to see that everyone got a wicket or three (some of you are a bit greedy I see)... Really good to see everyone knuckling down and trying to stop each individual partnership target being and each of them being knocked off one by one. We absolutely crucified their thrid partnership...

To show how well we played I managing to get Ducky for an effort which resulted in a wicket - the missed allegedly dolly catch, standing there with hands on hips then the umpire calling "Strike 3, Strike 3, you have to run" and still getting the runout... I mean, I still got the wicket didn't I?

It's a frikkin' conspiracy I tell you...

Well played - a very solid batting performance followed up by some aggressive fielding.  With their third partnership on the rack, we could have let up and conceded a quad in the fourth, but the intensity kept up in the field, and we managed to squeak out the last one for an 8-0 win!

Fairplay award to Damon for taking some of the outs off Greg in the stats (the umpire had them all against Gregor).

Shoutout to Phil W for his impressive over of -20.

Really impressed with the consistency of our batting - no partnership crumbled, so we were able to build a rock-solid 136.

A big fuck-you to the piece of shit that took Phil W's $

Well I'd love to say I deserved the fair-play award - but I can't in all honesty accept it.

The umpire unfortunately just hadn't added up correctly - in fact I have NO idea how he wrote down 24 for me and -3 for Greg!  We'd both had a couple of outs each (3 for me, 2 for Greg I think).

Really good intensity in the field guys though - we don't often bat first, so it was quite enjoyable last night having to really focus in the field to achieve those quads.  Shoutout to Callum for securing 2 of the quads with 2 great overs against some fairly competent batsmen - we could have easily lost those 2 quads but some tight, clever bowling kept them just under our score each time :)

Oh and Phil W - thanks for the free game last night......

Well, I thought my batting wasn't too bad apart from a couple of outs...but I only got 3 runs for my efforts.  All those ones I let go as wides felt good at the time, but obviously didn't do shit all for my stats!

Fantastic effort team, considering it was a top of the table clash last night, we dealt to the No. 1 team quite convincingly with our very solid display of cricket.  I felt we played better knowing exactly what we needed to stop each partnership getting...seemed to bring out a determined focus which was awesome.

Greg deserves a mention in my opinion, for taking some quite tidy catches up close.  And of course, the whole team pitched in, making some of our bowlers stand out.  As I found out last week - sometimes your fielders either make you look really bad, or really good!  (Not taking away the good individual bowling performances of course).  A solid team effort, well done.

Yeah I would have to say that Callum's MVP last night was well deserved. Great bowling for one - that was obvious.

Not so obvious was the brilliant effort from Chan and Callum from the last two overs of their batting - 34 runs garnered with some clever dabs and some clinical explosions out of the sweet spot of the Laver. Look at the scoresheet and you will see how impressed John (the umpire) was with those seven's - they go into the Extras column they were that huge!

I believe that man deserves a DB.
