for fumbling and bumbling a catch that his blind granny could have taken
Poor old GMan and the Ducky... to be honest, their "Test Player" probably deserved it more - anyone who hits a '7' and saunters down the pitch deserves to be run out... and then there was the goofing around on the crease for a run-out/stumping! That guy was the genuine article (provided said article was someone who didn't have a clue).
Having said that, we got out of that very lucky as it turns out - once everyone had woken up AFTER the first two partnerships, we were well in business with G taking a hat trick to boot. And of course the Test Player batting...
Shout out to Chan for his somewhat awkward but still successful backnet fielding in Phil's absence (6:40 is when the little hand is between 6 and 7, and the big hand is at the 8 mark for future reference Philus!).
Post Over 8 and an excellent effort all round. Hopefully Si will be healthy next week so he can run a bit harder - oh, and all 9 of my runs came from the Laver... nothing like a light bat when you are well out of form!
