Jeepers - not much to say about my performance in this game - I think the stats say enough - worse bowling figures and worse batting figures! :(
I didn't think my bowling was too bad - the guys in my second over just played it very well and milked every ball - no big shots, no risks and unfortunately I didn't bowl well enough to stop them...bugger.
As for the batting - well it was all looking good after 2 overs - Steve and I had already put on 31 runs and were looking good for a big partnership - then in the 3rd over I just self-destructed - gave away 3 simple catches - nothing seemed to be working :( And then a careless bowled in the 4th over - certainly wasn't my night with the bat (emphasis on 'the' as I was using Greg's baby - perhaps all the derogatory comments Greg and I had made about her before the game pissed her off....)
Having only 60 on the board to defend I thought we did it really well - everybody was on their toes from the first delivery and Chan got us off to just the start we needed - we had the pressure on them right from ball 1. Sadly we missed a few important outs that on another night we would have had - this was just enough to let them off the hook. Si was throwing down the stumps as well as I had fielded ;-)
It seems we just can't seem to win these tight ones - we always come out the wrong side of it by just a few runs - not sure why that is! Rather frustrating though.

Um - yeah. What to say without profanity? Well this is going to be difficult...
Let's start with the good stuff... um - oh yeah - OUR FIELDING. That was pretty good - we kept them under 65 with a number of good bowling displays - Chan, OMG, Steve and Katene - 6 runouts and a couple of catches meant that something good must have been going on. Only conceding 3 backnets meant we were keeping them off the walls as well.
Katene - as per usual throwing yourself around with gusto and putting holes in your arms.
The little Ginga batting - so stoked Callum bounced his butt, then the stumping by Steve - thanks guys. I swear if that kid survives the season it will be a fuc - ah bingo - it will be a miracle. There is a bounty on his head, let it be known. I will get him, oh yes, I will get him... bounce me the little red headed freak and not apologise - I won't forget...
I'm not going to comment on the batting - we were the outcome of a long night on lager and a couple of dodgy vindaloos - bar of course Steve and OMG's contributions.
But I have to say, I was well impressed by the fielding display and commitment shown by everyone. I (personally) haven't felt that fired up in the field and bowling for a while so the bouncer must have done something...
