Chaps,
Well done to you all on a well fought win � playing with 6 is never easy.
Apologies in advance for the brain explosion while I was batting. That ginger haired fella was quick and had an awesome slow ball as well. He fielded pretty good too!
Also apologies for jumbling up the order of batting � had to try something new. Like bringing on a spinner to open in the World Cup, but she worked!!!
Batting-wise:
Damon and Greg for their excellent innings to get us off to a flyer.
Chan and Simon for their second innings � to say their were some nerves on the sidelines is an understatement, but you did well.
Callum - Apologies for the batting partnership!!! It was looking good until I forgot how to bat � whoops! I was fortunate (?) not to get asked to bat again.
In the field:
Callum � excellent fielding at the back in extraordinary circumstances. Excellent last couple of overs too � I don�t think that guy in the blue singlet had a clue at times!
Greg � at keep at times, and out into the field. Awkward having to do that, and I apologise for the inconvenience. But a couple of good runouts and I think a couple of stumpings / runouts as well
Simon � getting to bowl again in the last couple of overs. All I can say is when you gave it flight, they didn�t know what was going on. Excellent. Maybe next week we will get to see the googly a bit more? ;-)
Chan � soft hands win the day. Excellent runout on Callum�s last ball as well to really demoralise them.
Damon � bog standard effort from you I�m afraid. Bog standard in the fact that it was your bog standard � excellent.
The only thing I can really emphasise is back up the stumps and hunt the ball � we did give away a couple of extras but we also ran them out on said extras a few times, so it balanced out in the end.
So � keep up the good work. Hopefully next week we will have the full compliment. Thanks once again for making the job easy.
